1. Who we are
duk.am (“we”, “us”) operates the website duk.am, an online classifieds marketplace based in Armenia. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights regarding it.
2. What we collect
- Account data: username, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
- Listing data: anything you choose to include in a Listing (photos, description, price, contact details you choose to share).
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically for security and analytics.
- Communications: messages you send us via the Contact page.
3. Why we collect it
- To create and manage your account.
- To let you post, browse, and respond to Listings.
- To keep the Platform secure (detecting abuse, spam, and fraud).
- To improve the Platform (aggregate, anonymized analytics).
4. Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent (given at registration), the necessity of processing to provide the service you asked for (a contract), and our legitimate interest in keeping the Platform secure.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. Your public Listing content and chosen contact details are visible to other users, since that is the purpose of a classifieds Listing. We may share data with service providers who help us run the Platform (e.g. hosting, security, analytics), bound to protect it, and only as required by law.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.
7. Your rights
Under Armenian law, you generally have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us via our Contact page.
8. Security
We store passwords as secure hashes, not plain text, and take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies
We use cookies necessary for the site to function (e.g. keeping you logged in) and, if enabled, analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Children
duk.am is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the effective date above will reflect the latest revision.
